What they did on that rainy day! Hmmm not many rainy days around here this year!YAYYYY!

You know it’s so easy to forget things when you have a large family and you are living so fast pace.I was just thinking how happy I am to have a husband who works as hard as he does,even though he is not in LOVE with his job,he spends allot of overtime there lately. (Because they have lost people in the past few months either to death, or moved.)

Tomorrow he has a funeral he has to attend,for a coworker who recently passed from cancer,then work until midnight.That is an Entire Saturday he will be gone,then Sunday he has to go into work early yet again.(although the overtime pay is nice,we do not NEED it) They are in desperate need of people to work there. All of the officers are working overtime every week to fill for the ones they have lost.

I guess What I really want to say is,how much I miss him being here at home,and how much I do appreciate how much he does work,so that i can stay home and take care of our children.(also i know work is very hard to come by at this time and even though both of us do not like the line of work he is in and we both pray he will find a different line of work soon….we are grateful that he even HAS work to begin with) I guess you could say his job is not going to disappear , unfortunately jails are a necessity in this system.

It seems lately he is always gone working,then when he does have off,chances are he will be called to go into work. There is not enough officers for him not to work overtime right now.

 I look forward to the slower days,when I am not pregnant or nursing,when I can focus my time on TEACHING my kids (not that I am not teaching them daily in all we do) But really TEACHING them. It seems for the past 5 years I have not even had a chance to do much but change diapers and nurse babies. (well laundry and dishes and cooking and…and…and….

There is so much more real teaching I want so bad to focus on. We talk about God in just about everything we do,but there are so many deeper things I want to teach them from the Bible.(when I can barely get myself a drink sometimes,well I guess you get the picture,very hard for me to really FOCUS on a real GOOD teaching session.)

I love being a mom and PLEASE do not think I am complaining by any means,I just miss my husband.(and I love him too) I want him to be here more so we can focus on TEACHING the children TOGETHER.

 I of course would rather it be warm then cold….but this is crazy HOT. Pretty much spend the evenings at the lake since we can just walk across the road to it.(even though I drove to it last night LOL sshhhhh)

Yes folks it was too hot to take the kids out during the day yesterday so we just waited until about 7pm to go swimming and even then i drove across the road (I am whimpy like that when I am carrying around an extra 20 pounds.)  It was a race back to the car to get away from the bugs that came out when the sun went down!

Today doesn’t seem quite as hot as yesterday but it’s a scorcher…at 10 this morning it was already 90 out!
