we had some new additions to our family arrive today! we are still thinking of names.

we have friends that raise and sell new holland lops, she wanted to know if we wanted some(Of Course!) so i knew she was coming today to drop them off,but i didn’t tell the kids.i left it as a surprise…boy was it ever!

Jonathan has another cold (if you think he looks a little under the weather…)

so now all i hear is “can i hold bunny? please….what about now? please?” good thing they are friendly bunnies!

   ” knuckle sandwich anyone?”

Guess what happens every time i put Alaina on the floor? (EVERYTIME!)

Carter says…”it’s ok mom i am watching her to make sure she doesn’t get hurt.”

 i don’t think she minds it at all, it’s just i have to keep redressing her!..

thursday i woke up and felt the urge to go shopping.originally it was just going to be me and laura and mark was going to stay home with the rest.well,then i got this bright idea,why don’t we bring everyone,since mark had the day off. so we did!

well we had driven about 15 miles,when we were going around a certain traffic circle before we got on the highway,when we suddenly felt the van start to wobble. GREAT! it was really bad,so mark pulled out of the circle to the gas station and couldn’t find anything wrong with the tires…..he knew that the right rear tire had been low on air recently so we figured it was out of balance.

we get onto the highway and the faster we went,the wobbling seemed to go away. when we got to the shopping plaza,we took the van to SEARS and figured we would get all new tires,they looked at the one tire and turns out it was separated on the inside.

we spent the whole day just walking around the mall. when we were ready to leave and pick up the car,they told us our front tie rod was bad (would explain the wobble when we would brake) SO we waited for another hour, by this time we were all starving and decided to go to Olive Garden.

so we were driving to Olive Garden and jonathan yells CHUNKEN CHEESES! look laura,carter!! it’s CHUNKEN CHEESES!!! needless to say,we ended up there for 4 HOURS! it was fun,and i was exhausted.

we don’t often take all the kids with us, based on thursday,  i would do it again..(i was actually able to get some much needed shopping done!)

this was at the mall in one of those picture takers..we tried to get all the kids in the picture,heh heh.it didn’t work. we got three of them and the others heads.

feeling much better today.

for some reason i fooled myself into thinking i had to get all these “things” done around the house. you know i torture myself every so often with this thinking of mine..

well…i was thinking again…really what is the rush??i have of course calmed down and came back to reality.i am a stay at home mom for a reason. i never wanted anything more then to have kids and stay home with them,having a close bond…and guess what? it’s exactly what i have..i am so happy, i have happy, healthy children and we are such a close family………..thats reality!

i really do enjoy doing things for my family,but i think we all have to agree, there are moments when everything feels like it’s coming at you all at once.sometimes we are so busy we fail to take care of our needs putting others first.what a great well worth it,sacrifice!

Alaina turned 3 months on sunday! she now weighs 11 pounds 4 ounces! almost twice her birth weight.

Alaina loves her new swing! at first i didn’t think she cared for it much because she was scrunched up in it..it needs to be broken in some i guess.

i am going to buy those little jiggly eyes at the dollar store and glue them to the butterflies so it looks like they are looking at her,she’ll love them!

i’m not all for too much pink,but it’s all ok for now.

i picked up some primer in town the other day and i have been wanting to paint my kitchen.the thing is,how am i suppose to have time to start that project when i barely have enough time to take care of regular things??(i mean i hardly even capitalize letters!) should i just let things go? maybe for a few days? oh, i don’t know. please someone tell me this won’t last. i want to be able to do things to make my home more cozy,but when will i find time!..(argh)

so today,i am doing TONS of laundry.i only let it back up a few days and i have done about 6 loads already and have about 4 more left.(including bedding and towels)

it always seems when i get on a cleaning streak,i have to stop to make something for the kids to eat,or change a diaper,or feed the baby….i am so busy that i actually forget to eat or drink. then my mind goes all fuzzy,and i get irritated,and feel like i am going to flip out! (i have to force myself to stop and get some water so i don’t get dehydrated)

i know with each baby,around this same time i start feeling out of control.like everything is coming at me from all directions.(MOM,i’m thirsty…mom i can’t find my shoe…,mom, alainas hungry…,mom,i have to go pee…mom, can you get me ice cream…mom,you have to sign this…mom,mom,MOM!..AHHHH!) it HAS to be the change in hormones. because when i start to think i am losing it, i come around and things slow down . then by the time the baby hits 1 year, i wonder why i thought i was so busy.(and thats when we need to be careful we don’t start thinking about another baby!)

Laura is so sweet,she offered to clean the kitchen for me and noticed i only got to half my coffee. she just heated it up in the microwave and brought it to me..she is so thoughtful.

we are going to be buying bunk beds for the boys room this coming week. also tomorrow morning we are picking up a kitchen table and chairs. i think thats one reason i feel overwhelmed also.(i have a certain picture in my head as to how i want the rooms to look, and first i wanted the rooms painted!)

i just peeked around the corner to the kitchen,laura is dancing to the radio and cleaning..it’s so cute!!

ok time to go finish the next load of laundry..(then it all has to be put away!

i wonder if i can get it put away before the baby gets hungry?  ulgh

tonight was refreshing i am happy i made the effort to get all the kids out. it was a blizzard up on the hill where we live!

WAHOO!

my wonderful husband watched all FIVE kids including the baby so i could go shopping to the mall last night!!

i strictly did clearance racks and found a TON of great deals..

i got sienna some shirts that were only 1$ and tights that were 50 cents!

i got carter a winter coat from old navy for next year for $11.97!! WOW!

he’s in a seven now…so i got him an 8 for next year.

at TJ MAXX i found other great deals…all clearanced!

next time i am taking mark with me so i can get clothes for me…i won’t buy anything unless he is with me so i know he likes them.(because if he doesn’t like it i won’t wear it.)

well just finished dinner,gotta get ready to go to our meeting!

we did our first real tummy time yesterday(she doesn’t like being awake on her belly)i mostly use the boppy pillow to set her on and she doesn’t mind that as much.

can’t quite get her head up all the way.

i don’t normally post in the middle of the night,but for some reason alaina was wide awake,so i thought i would do something to pass time.(shes sleeping now so i’m off to bed…WHEW!)

alaina loves her swing and now it doesn’t work!i thought maybe it was the batteries(since we were getting cheap $ store ones)well we went and bought good energizer rechargeables with the charger,we charged them and the swing still doesn’t work! (well it works sporadically). so looks like i’m buying a new one. i really don’t want to,but i figured i can sell it on ebay or something when shes done with it.

i  think i found the one i will get her. it’s the butterfly one,it’s on sale at the fisher price website for $119.00,$17.00 shipping. this one has the option for batteries or plug in.

i really like all the fisher price papason products.they are sooo cozy and soft! this one that i have now has been through three babies. so i guess it got it’s worth out of it!(to the junkyard it goes!)

wow what a day..Alaina had her first shots today.all i have to say is i wish i could take them for her.i gave her some tylenol about an hour ago, and she is in her swing sound asleep next to me now.we have the doctor split up the shots so she doesn’t get too many at once.( marks sisters son is autistic,and i know shots may not have anything to do with it,but if i can reduce the amount of times she gets pricked in one visit,you bet i’ll do it. i don’t mind if it takes longer.she has five years until she goes to school.)

you would think i would be used to the whole vaccination thing by now, you know after 5, but nope…..it sure doesn’t get easier.
