One of these young boys is going to have a very exciting day !

Can you take a guess why?

Mamma is just a teenie bit nervous,but I am excited!!

I am starting school this morning, 
And I seem so very small.
As Mom will walk there beside me
In the Kindergarten hall.

And as I take my place beside
the others in the class,

Mom will realize how all too soon
Those first few years had passed.

Mom saw me as,
I first learned how to walk….

The words that we alone made out
When I began to talk.

This little boy so much absorbed
In learning how to write.

It seems as though I must have grown
To boyhood overnight.

Mom please brush the tears away….

It’s my first big day!

Oh how I long  to stay with you

And keep you by the hand

I knew you would no longer be by my side.

But I must have a chance…..
To work my problems out

With the privilege to grow and learn.

I’m not a baby anymore –
It’s my turn!

I’m in Kindergarten today!
